New York Mets City Connect Conceptual Patch Logo

Original Logo Design Concept of the New York Mets "City Connect" Program. The centralized purple number "7" is a nod to the "7 Train" that takes Met fans to Citi Field and is the main line for the borough of Queens. The surrounding apple and top hat are derived from the team's "Home Run Apple" that rises after every Mets' home run. The 5 lines inside the apple represent the 5 boroughs of New York and form the visual of the Unisphere from the 1964 World's Fair that took place in Queens across from the Mets' first permanent home, Shea Stadium.
